Hi friends, it's been a while...

Kia Paylor

Over the past year, I’ve been spending most of my days on our little farmstead - tending our animals and the garden, farming with our mentor and popping up around Virginia at several farmers’ markets. If you’ve seen me at some of the markets, you may have noticed I’ve been quietly testing new soap recipes, listening to your feedback, and making little tweaks along the way.

This season has been about slowing down and paying attention—absorbing the sun, the sounds, the smells of nature, and learning from what it has to teach me. It’s also been about making small, steady changes in my own routines: choosing gentler ingredients for my skin, reducing nasty chemicals where I can, and reminding myself that it doesn’t all have to happen at once. Sometimes, the smallest swaps make the biggest difference.

This past year has also reminded me how important it is to care for my whole self—body, mind, and spirit. That’s the energy I’m bringing into this next chapter with Petals.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing the soaps I’ve been working on, the inspiration behind them, and even some simple ways you can create your own versions of my products at home using herbs and ingredients from your local market (or maybe even your backyard!).

There will also be a soft launch of the teas that inspired this new skincare collection, along with a few complementing products. My hope is to make natural self-care feel more accessible, affordable, and approachable—because we all deserve to feel cared for in ways that don’t feel complicated.

I’m so glad to be reconnecting with you here. Thank you for being part of this journey with me.

Kia xx
