Journal Entry No.1 - October 30th

Olive oil had always been my anchor ingredient in soapmaking —gentle, reliable, familiar. So, when olive oil prices rose, I felt the pang.  I knew that I had to find something that replace it with something just as good if not better.  

That's when Sunflower oil found me.

It's become quite the hero in my formulations.  Mild, moisturizing, rich in vitamin E.  It mirrors the qualities I loved in olive oil and has fit right in among my other favorite staple oils and butters.

This shift reminded me that change can be good.  That sometimes, the best ingredients are the ones that find you where you are.
